"SG Capital Forest Fund" managed by SG Capital Partners AIFP has received a loan from SEB Latvija in the amount of EUR 4.4 million for the purchase and maintenance of 1,942 hectares of forest properties. Those properties have received a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certificate, certifying responsible forest management, which has enabled to qualify for Green Loan status.

"The past year proved perfectly that forest investments can provide a good return, they are able to protect investments from inflation and at the same time promote sustainable forest management. In the coming years, the Fund plans to afforest significant land areas, thus making a direct contribution to a greener and healthier environment in Latvia," emphasizes Harijs Svarcs, partner and board member of "SG Capital Forest Fund".

SG Capital partners has been awarded as “Investor of the year”/Jury vote in frames of BREL Forum 2022. The award is received for successful acquisition of NORDO, 90 000m2 logistics complex, currently valued at more than EUR 50m, in Riga’s TOP logistics hub near Pļavnieki/Dreiliņi districts in 1Q2021. Logistics complex is fully leased to several well-known local and international tenants, including Depo, Latvijas Balzams, Via 3L, Tamro, TOP and many others.
Investments made since acquisition, more than EUR 2,5m, address BREEAM-in-use sustainability rating upgrades (target “GOOD” or higher by the end of 2023), and potential development options.

SG Capital Partners together with leading Baltic pension funds has made a first close of its Sustainable Forest and Land Fund. Fund focus is on forest land investments and sustainable management in Latvia and other Baltic countries. Fund target size is EUR 100 million and new investors will be added during the coming years. Current fund investors include Citadele, SEB and Swedbank pension funds.

Commercial real estate fund SG Capital Partners Fund I KS has acquired SWH Office complex on Skanstes street in Riga CBD. The office complex consists of 8 buildings that after renovation would have 40,000 m2 of leasable space and 850 parking places located on more than 4ha freehold landplot. The property is home to number of well-known global and local companies, including Bayer, AstraZeneca, Ergo, Evry, Webhelp, Inspecta, Merks, Mogo, Citadele branch, State Audit Service and many others.
